Cybersecurity
A mix of formal classes, self-directed training, and hands-on experience in cybersecurity, networking, and technical problem solving. Most of my learning has been through a combination of courses, teams, and personal practice.
Formal Training
- 50+ Hours of Offensive Security Training through TCM Security (5 courses total). Focused on penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and ethical hacking.
- Security+ & Network+ certifications. Gained foundational knowledge in security, networking, and risk management.
- Completed multiple college and online courses covering cybersecurity (both business and technical), network security, system administration, and more.
Cyber Team Experience
- DOE CyberForce Team Member (Tier I & Founding Team) - participated in government-led cybersecurity exercises, practice scenarios, and competitions.
- Hack the Building Team Member - hands-on full week in-person security testing for live networked systems. Blue team.
- CyberFusion - collaborated with other students on practical cybersecurity challenges.
- Competed in multiple CTFs (Capture The Flag) events to sharpen practical cybersecurity and problem-solving.
Other Experience
- Liberty Cyber Defense Club - participated in defensive security club.
- CyberPatriot - working with passionate high school students in learning about cyber, networking, and system administration.
- Operational Technology - learned about industrial control systems, networked devices, and security considerations in OT environments.
- Other Competitions - various small-scale cybersecurity contests to build practical experience.
- Self-Directed Learning - spent many hours learning through YouTube channels focused on cybersecurity, networking, Linux, and ethical hacking
